Mark Armstrong
Mark Armstrong is a car enthusiast and he brings his love of vehicles to MDA Co-Auto as the Saskatchewan Territory Manager. Since November 2003, he has highlighted the products and programs to the customers, who he thoroughly enjoys working with. Mark builds hot-rods from scratch and his current extracurricular passion is building a 1956 Mercury half-ton. He lives by the quote, “Smile – it makes your day go better”.

Richard Chevalier
As MDA Co-Auto’s Marketing Manager, Richard Chevalier utilizes his many years of experience in the industry to assist his fellow employees to serve the customer and provides training on the various products. Starting in 1999, the company’s reigning jokester has worn many hats and enjoys laughing with his co-workers. Richard has a zest for life and says, “The only bad day I’m ever going to have in the one I don’t wake up for”.

Suzanne Dodd
Suzanne Dodd’s MDA Co-Auto career started in 1999 in Calgary and in 2003 transferred to Edmonton. As the Territory Manager for Edmonton & The Greater Vancouver Area, she loves being part of an organization with a common vision – being the only supplier with the ability to impact operating costs at all levels within the dealership. People may be surprised to know that this transplanted Newfoundlander once worked for a season as a heavy equipment operator to pay-off a student loan.

Peter Dorie
As Operations Manager, Peter Dorie’s position has evolved from inventory management and purchasing to include IT operations and web development. In 1990, a friend asked Peter to help-out as a shipper for a couple of weeks. He enjoyed it so much that he just never left – a bonus for MDA Co-Auto! Peter is keen on all things computer and spending time with his family, including his three wonderful grandchildren. He illustrates his love of family by selecting his great, great, great grandson as the one person he would like to meet.

Ron Dube
Ron Dube, Territory Manager for Southern Alberta, joined the company in 2005 and works with customers to gain cost savings. Once considered shy, Ron finds being on the sales team very rewarding and challenging. Ron is community minded and enjoys giving his time. In his off time, he plays sports such as hockey, volleyball and hiking. Strange, but true, you can also find Ron painting houses on weekends with a huge smile on his face.

Dick Gregg
Dick Gregg, Equipment Sales Manager, heads up MDA Co-Auto’s newest division: capital equipment. Talk to Dick a while and you will hear his passion for the division and how much the shareholders benefit from equipment purchases instead of the OEM manufacturer. He knows this better than anyone else would, as he once managed a manufacturer’s equipment program. Dick keeps balance in his life by enjoying the thrill of motorcycle drag racing and the tranquility of fly-fishing.

Theresa Highet
As MDA Co-Auto’s Executive Assistant, Theresa Highet wears many hats – maintaining dealer accounts and share register; managing queries and problems with fleet, power, and gas programs; plus providing assistance to the management and sales team. Joining the team in 1986, Theresa is one of the company’s longest-term employees. She has worked in almost every administrative position. People may be surprised to learn that his feisty grandmother of six has her own motorcycle and enjoys cruising down the back roads on a hot summer day.

Bruce Lyons
As Paint, Body & Equipment (PBE) Manager, Bruce Lyons is responsible for the growth of the most profitable division, which also provides the largest return to the shareholders. Bruce has been in the automotive industry for 16 years and loves being able to use the skills and knowledge for the benefit of MDA Co-Auto and its customers. People may be surprised to learn that Bruce is an American who loves being in Canada. He has taken up the Canadian fatherly pastimes of coaching his son’s hockey team and daughter’s ringette team.

Equipment Administrator
Maggie Maslyk
Maggie Maslyk is the first to occupy the position of Equipment Administrator created in 2006, and has the challenge of developing it to its full potential. She actually came to MDA Co-Auto by interviewing for a different job, but management found her skills more suited to the new position. Eventually she will manage the administration and inventory of the equipment division. This busy go-getter immigrated from Poland in 1990 and is working towards her management degree on a part-time basis. In the little bit of free time Maggie can eke out, she loves to experiment with red wine and hop on a motorcycle for a long ride.

Darrin Miller
The Northern Alberta & Interior B.C. Territory Manager, Darrin Miller, describes himself as a consultant, advising customers on how to get the biggest bang for their buck. Joining Co-Auto’s warehouse in 1983, he’s one of the longest-term employees. He credits his tenure to believing in the company and the value it provides. Darrin says, “It’s a no-brainer. When taking into consideration that they are shareholders, dealers are basically buying at cost.” On his off time he tip toes around his family jungle of a dog, bird, two cats and lizard.

Tom Nielsen
Tom Nielsen, Shipper/Receiver, supplies the customer quickly and accurately. His favourite quote, “Good to go” suits his work to a tee. Since 2005, Tom has enjoyed the friendship and laughter with his other warehouse compatriots. He loves the outdoors, NASCAR, fishing and golfing. Tom spends much of his free time helping the community by educating others about drug addiction. One person Tom would love to have a conversation with is Winston Churchill to hear his fascinating stories.

Roger Poitras
Since 2000 Roger Poitras, Territory Manager in Manitoba, has provided cost saving solutions for all departments within a dealership. Roger is very involved in his community and sits on several boards. For the past eight years, he has been a local city council member. Besides being very involved in the community and several boards, Roger also finds time to hunt, golf and camp. His greatest joy comes from being with friends, family and in the great outdoors.

Rhonda Porter
Rhonda Porter, Inside Sales Territory Manager, ensures that MDA Co-Auto provides helpful, friendly and efficient customer service. Rhonda worked for the company in Calgary from 1999 to 2003 and was wooed back to the Edmonton office in 2005. She enjoys being able to deliver quality service and the opportunity to work with a professional team of people. The golf bug bit Rhonda a few years ago and she loves to travel; she has been clear across Canada and to 43 of the 50 states.

Colin Reid
In Data Entry, Colin Reid is responsible for directs processing, drop shipping, product invoicing and providing assistance with customers receiving product. He gets great satisfaction from working with customers and having them walk away happy. Colin laughs when asked, what is the one thing people may be surprised to know about you? “I’m the most accident prone person I know”. We’ve all seen the crutches to prove it! His favourite quote is Lowery’s Law, “If it jams - force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway”

Shelley Rogers
Shelley Rogers, Territory Manager on Vancouver Island, believes the timing of her joining Co-Auto was fate. After a 13-year career with a manufacturer, she elected to take a buyout and return to BC. Shortly after moving, she became aware of the position and since then has happily helped dealers realize the cost benefits that Co-Auto provides. With three of their five kids now adults, Shelley and husband Richard are taking full advantage of the beautiful sights and activities the island (A.K.A. paradise) offers!

Emily Rutar
With her eagle eye MDA Co-Auto’s Accounts Payable Administrator, Emily Rutar provides financial administration and ensures all savings are realized. Tied as the company’s longest-term employee, in 1986 she heard about the job from a friend who was an employee. Emily enjoys the different challenges the position brings and problem solving uploads. This busy mother of four and grandmother of four enjoys reading, gardening and long country walks

Emily Segin
As the Accounts Receivable Administrator, gentle Emily Segin can be the tough pit-bull when necessary to keep all accounts current. She joined the team in 2005 for a temporary positing and enjoyed the company, atmosphere and her fellow employees so much that she never left. She is a great addition to the company. In her spare time, Emily spends time with family and takes long walks in Edmonton’s beautiful river valley.
